Souther air dash unit question

I got the AC box made and the unit mounted. How in the heck are you suppose to put the hoses on once it is installed???? I followed the instructions, but I don't see how you get to those fittings. Does anybody make fittings that would extend the connection to the engine compartment?

Mine were the same way, I don't remember how i did it but it was done............I'm thinking that I may have not rivited the box that we all fabed up to the firewall untill after I got all the hoses and unit bolted together and THEN rivited it to the firewall..........I do remember praying that they pass the leak down vacume test because I didn't want to go back in there to try and fix it. I see your box is sealed and rivited, take it out and put the system together , then rivit it in. I'm pretty sure thats how i did it because the hole on the front side of my fabbed up box is big enough to fit the whole fitting through, not justy the hose part.

Mine were tight, too. Your AC guy will make it work even if he has to make new fittings.
