Wanted to introduce myself as I will be leaning on this forum for the foreseeable future.

My name in Nick Sebastian (hdnik due to my other passion for Harleys). I will be ordering a full rendered FFR 33 hr through WesternCanadaCobras (Hi Al) today or tomorrow.

While new to this type of build I have been a car enthusiast pretty much all my life. The goal is to do as much of this at my home with the help of My 2 grandsons and of course from you all!

I've spent the past few weeks browsing the various forum sites and have made my first post here primarily based on the fact that there seems to be a little too much negativity and ney saying on some of the other forums. Interesting because I see many of the same members in all of them. While I sure all of these forums will prove to be helpful going forward, right now my state of mind requires "positive reinforcement".... And from what I can see, this forum seems to be the one that will allow me to view things through a brighter shade of rose colored glasses for now. Not sure why I feel that way, but it is my humble opinion.

(That's a compliment to you folks in case that wasn't clear)

Let the games begin!

Congrats to you! While I live in the US, I grew up in Western Canada (Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and all my family is in Calgary now). In fact, my Dad who was the largest source of knowledge for our project, lives in Calgary now. He's been the main mechanic and problem solver on our build each and every step of the way!

I can tell you that while there are certainly moments of frustration, you are correct that this forum (more specifically the guys on it) are always there to help, and usually in a very timely manner. We built the MK4, but I'm sure the 33 has the same type of support. All my best to you. I'm certainly glad to return the favor of all the help I've received if possible.
