Folks,
What are you using for fuel pumps for your stock Coyote powered cars? FFR's instructions say 255lph but the Ford Racing catalog says:
155lph good to 440 naturally aspirated HP with 10% safety factor
190lph good to 540 naturally aspirated HP with 10% safety factor
255lph good to 720 naturally aspirated HP with 10% safety factor
Is 255lph overkill?
Thx,
Henry

It's a return style system, so whatever the motor doesn't want goes back to the tank. I used a 255lph so it's never starved.

I have a 255 lph in my NA Mustang (was 450 hp 347), and one in the Roadster (427W stroker, also NA). I just put a 340 lph Aeromotive pump in our '68 Mustang project with a fairly stock 4.6L Three-Valve NA engine. All return style setups and never had a problem with the 255 units (lack of volume or pressure or overheating the fuel).
HTH Henry...

Thank you Clemson and Mark. I'll stick with the 255lph.

Sounds good Henry. Let me know when you're in town. Will you be bringing the '33 down with you?

We used the 255lph on our Coyote race car which is WOT most of the time and it never starved either.

Will do Mark. Next time I come down, it will probably be for good... I'll have the 33 and the MKIV I am working on now.
Thx Hammink for your response,
Henry

I used 255LPH in John MIllette's car. I bet you know that already.

Great Henry! Did you sell your GTM though? Looking forward to you being back in the area and hitting some shows together...
