Dave I know you have been very busy with FFR operations, 818 & the like. But awhile back you posted that you were planning a FIA 289 spec/street version roadster! After seeing "Jolsen 42" conversion of a FFR MKII or III to a slabside with a Mr. Bruce body & the RAVE REVIEWS!! it has been receiving on Club Cobra. com & other sites. I am somewhat dissapointed as to the delay in the offering of a FIA 289 spec. racer/street version. It is clear that the present FFR frames & parts (via Jolsen 42's example.) can be used in building a slabside or 289 FIA spec/street version!! I have always respected & loved the FFR concept, and infact had ordered a MKIV back in mid 2011. But canceled the order when a incredable ERA 427 S/C with a original FE 427 SideOiler built by Holmon Moody Racing became available, in my price range!! It is factory built & a awsome ride! It would cost me over a 100k easy to build the like today. I am truly proud to own one of the Top Replica AC's in the world today. But that doesn't fix my desire to own/build a slabside or FIA 289 spec racer/street version AC. Dave! I am willing to bet a $1,000 dollars to the charity of your choice that when/if FFR offers the small block version in slab, FIA spec racer/street version kit. FFR will sell at least 500 kits in the 1st year of the offering. ERA is now offering the slab also & they are swamped!! But ERA is more a custom builder & don't have the(+1 yr wait) capabilities of FFR. So back to original question Dave?? Whats the story on the FIA Spec racer/street version? & HOW SOOONN!! Thanks M8!
