For anyone whose had experience with QuickTime bell housings and Lakewood, help. I'm building a MKIV 460 ci with a TKO 600. The manual indictes to use a Lakewood 15220 housing and a McLeod 8607 spacer when mating to a TKO. Finding the Lakewood scarce to find I am using a QuickTime 8010. Does any know if the Lakewood and QuickTime are direct replacements for each other? My Internet searches have given different data as to depth of both housings. In other words, do I need that spacer if using the QuickTime? I mated the bell and tranny together and placed the engine and in the car. All took about ten minutes, but I noticed the trans is short of the slots for the bolts to go in about 1/2 or so inches. Now the McLeod spacer is 3/4 inch thick and that would solve the problem. If I had the tranny already fit all the way in the bell housing and pilot, is the input shaft long enough to still fit the clutch discs and fit in the pilot if backed out 3/4inch? Also the pic in the manual for the trans support is not clear enough for me to decide which is up or down. I've placed it both ways but only fits all bolt holes what seems like upside down. It looks symmetrical but does any one know if it in fact is asymetrical? Any help is appreciated. Nick C
