Well I made the decision this past weekend to pull the car off the road after a great 5000+ mile summer of fun. I am now back to a go-cart and body on a buck. Over the last few weeks I have gapped and flushed the doors and gapped the hood and trunk lid. Now the body work begins in earnest. I have done one fill on the parting lines and have started radiussing the fenders. Once I get things as good as I can it is off to my painter for guide coat, final blocking and then colour and stripes.
In the meantime I am going to make the numerous little changes and improvements to the go-cart that I have been listing all summer and then get to work on carpeting.
I am somewhat dismayed to have it off the road but am looking forward tothis final (is there ever really a "final") stage of the build.
