Hey guys, Anybody know where I can get these? I've got the disc set-up on an 8.8 axle.

Thanks in advance.

There are two different fitments depending on whether you have the 'cobra' 11.65" rear discs or the standard 'GT' style 10.6" rear discs.

Max at Five Star Ford may be able to get them if they are available as a separate component (don't just come as part of a larger package).

Hi Chris,
Do you have the 10.5" or 11.65" rotors? I do have antimoan brackets still but need to know the diameter first.

Here you go Lucky:

They are an OEM part that triangulates & stabilizes the caliper mount to the axle housing to help prevent a low speed harmonic under light brake application which can cause an audible "moan" (hence the name :)). It usually happens when backing up and is mostly just an annoyance. In the attached photo I have relocated the calipers to the forward side of the axle rather than the rear which makes them more critical because in this configuration the moan will be more likely to occur going forward.
BTW, for anyone making this swap all three parts have to switch sides; caliper mount, caliper and moan bracket.

Cheers,
Jeff

I got mine off of a 1995 Mustang at a junkyard. I think they cost $10 total.

Part numbers are
Anti moan brackets

F9ZZ-2C366-AA & F9ZZ-2C367-AA fit Mustang GT rear brakes w/ the 10.6 rotor

1R3Z-2C366-AA & 1R3Z-2C367-AA fit Mustang Cobra rear brakes w/ the 11.65 rotor.

There are two part numbers for each size since left and right are different.

I have never given these a thought ever before. I can see that, if I got a set of these, I would have to change my car's name, and I really don't want to do that. She's Mona!
