Hi

I just ran across the SAAC World Registry Volume 1 Edition 4 on the net and was contemplating a purchase. Do any of you own this? I was wondering if it would be a good reference for getting some of the details in a FFR close to the originals. Does it actually list out each original CSX car with pictures and tons of details? It has over 1600 pages, so I would assume it has to have quite a bit of detail. I noticed all the images are black and white. It would be nice if some were in color. Is it worth the $200. I've been reading the 50 years of the C-car book and I really enjoyed all the details it shows of each car. I was just wondering if this book would take that even farther and maybe even offer some owner's stories about each car.

Thanks,

Frank

The SAAC registry normally list the cars, owners and histories. The details on each original Cobra are about as different as they can get. The FFR is modeled after the 29 S/C Cobras, which are arguably the most desired Cobras. Stick to the books and do research by visiting photo albums of originals like Chris' of CSX3049 (http://s845.photobucket.com/user/CCRsAC/library/CSX3049?sort=3&page=1), go to car shows where originals are.

Other great sources are the books by Colin Comer on the 50th anniversary of the Cobra, as well as Rinsey Mills' book (which I think is out of print now, but there are used versions available).
