I was able to finally find a sweet spot in the handling allowing me to push the car pretty hard. I won XP by 5.5 seconds! This event was about the best I have ever run and I have much more confidence in the car.

Here is a video of my best run of the day which was the 6th fastest overall.

Congrats on the win; it looks like an incredible amount of fun. I wouldn't know but I imagine that 5 seconds is a massive margin over second place.

Thanks everyone for the kudos!

I currently run the Hankook Ventus z214 C71 275/17 front and back. I still have some oversteer issues, but with a very light fuel load the car is almost balanced. With a 1/4 tank or more the oversteer is pretty pronounced. I plan to change to 315 rear and keep the 275 front for next season.

Willy asked about Nitto's in his PM. I am actually considering the NT01 315/17 for the rear next season. I am just not sure I can afford the Hoosier tire game. Most Hoosier racers go thru 2-3 sets per season which adds up to $2500-$3500 per year in tires. That is a little rich for my blood. The Hoosiers do have that slight edge in grip, but they heat cycle out in 30-50 runs and become very greasy. A friend switched from Hoosiers to NT01's this year and really likes them so far.

Congrats on the order! Looking forward to seeing your build. It will be a little faster than the Miata.

Thanks Russ!
