Purchased the Breeze booster fame mod and now installing the stock donor brake booster from a 93. Looks like the booster is hitting the knuckle of the steering rod... I think will require a spacer. So thowing this out as a question to you builders who installed brake boosters.
Did you use a spacer to mount the booster?
How did you avoid the knuckle on the steering rod?
Can you please post a pic?
Thanks.

I've done the booster on a couple of cars. Here are a few pics a Mk4 installation:

The Mustang firewall is double wall sheetmetal with a plastic spacer between the two layers so to keep the pedal, pushrod and booster in the same relationship as well as provide steering shaft clearance you must space the booster away from the front bulkhead aapproximately 3/8". Look at this shot below and you'll see that I used flanged bolts to hold the booster away from the bulkhead. If you look closely you'll see that a piece of memory foam seals the opening between booster and bulkhead.

Finally a look below the booster. To provide clearance the flanged bearing must be installed inside the footbox with the collar and setscrews pointing rearward.

Jakester, it appears that you have your flanged bearing installed on the engine compartment side which has required you to use additional spacers for the booster to clear. If you reconfigure it to the inside you can eliminate the double spacers.
Good luck,
Jeff

Yes, that's exactly correct. I have the steering shaft flange mounted on the outer side of the foot box. (Which is what the manual says to do). It makes perfect sense now that I think about it to mount on the inside and save some space for the booster.
Damn. Not looking forward to taking that steering shaft out again.
Anyway, thank you Jeff.

I make a single piece spacer that fills that gap perfectly. It's not on my web site yet, but they are available.

The frame mod you picture is from Whitby, not Breeze. They sell it separately or also as part of their complete vacuum power brake kit. I installed the Whitby kit on my Mk3. Jeff is correct that the spacers between the firewall and the booster need to be 3/8 in. That's what's included with the Whitby kit. You want this distance, not the double nut setup you pictured. Be a little careful with the distances between the booster and the firewall and the booster and the master cylinder. Those affect your pedal height and brake actuation.
x2 on moving the steering shaft flange assembly to the inside of the foot box. Multiple threads on setting up vacuum power brakes on these cars, and in most cases this change is necessary.
Also x2 (or whatever the count is) that you need the space between the booster and the firewall sealed. Every opening in the firewall is an opportunity for hot air from the engine compartment to get into the cockpit. The car will be much more fun to live with if you keep everything all sealed up. I made up a pad from a piece of neoprene cushion. You can see in the picture plus you can see the spacers on the studs.
