Im at the page where Im supposed to put the engine in, but I don't have one yet. How far can I go without putting the engine in? Should I just put the body on and start on that?

Alcarp, can you post some pics? Is your wiring done? It would be nice to get a visual on where you are currently...

Take a look at fastthings build log on YouTube, all the bodywork was done essentially first.

Yes, you can start on the bodywork. We've done that on the last couple of builds here.....done the bodywork first and the mechanicals after the bodywork is complete. That will keep you busy for a while......
Do you at least make it a roller Shane, so you can use the wheels to help with positioning (Rumrunner wrote this up)? Or strictly body on frame only like Gene (Fastthings) has done?
Thanks!

If the body and frame are symetrical you can easily do it without the wheels mounted, with some careful measureing. We know we are dealing whith a less than symetrical body, the frame is pretty close. I would recomend mounting the wheels to help getting the body mounted.
Disclaimer....I am haveing lots of fun building and video logging the build, and I can now see how it may be used as a build guide for some. I never intended my videos to be a how to guide, I posted them so my friends and family can watch and see why they don't seee me for a couple years at a time. You guys may be watching a trian wreck. So, use at your own risk.
Man, I can hardly wait to start working on it again. My boy and I are making some good progress on his build, which also is being lgged on youtube, check it out.

Thanks Gene, you're videos have definitely been a wealth of information for many of us.
Just this past weekend I sprayed U Pol on some aluminum panels in my garage, turned out nice. Really have you to thank for motivating me to give it a shot, never would've guessed I'd be painting anything. Thanks bud!
I also take to heart your advice to get the car to 80%, and let a professional finish it off. That's the plan at present.
