I came upon a windfall of $13,630. Now I have the funds to buy a kit. I'll wait until Xmas to see if FFR offers any discounts. Goal is to build and complete by next summer

Congrats Bill! Is your engine done yet, and what other parts do you have at the ready? I'll be at SEMA next month and will ask Dave Smith what the timing for the FIA is looking like.

Glad to see you here BTW...

I have nearly everything to build the car. The only things needed are the trans, clutch, wheels, tires, and radiator

That engine looks soooo happy, and lonely!! She wants to go VERY VERY fast!!

Good luck with the kit and build. Can't wait to hear that engine roar!

Regards,

Steve

Just call FF and tell them what you want and that you would like to see what type of deal they can offer. We bought ours when no sales were advertised and we had multiple people on the forum state that they rarely have sales. Well, i called and they went above and beyond to sell me our dream car. They are VERY easy to work with and make ordering pretty painless.

Congrats, on the windfall!!!

Just curious but that looks like a heck of a lot of carberation for that engine. What are we looking at? Thanks, WEK.

Engine is a 331 with all forged internals, 11.5:1 compression, piston skirts coated with Teflon, Trick Flow 205cc heads fully CNC'd and port matched. Intake is a Blue Thunder hi-rise port matched topped with dual Holley 450 CFM 4-bbl carbs. Cam is a Lunati hydraulic roller (.571/.587 lift, 112 LSA, 280/292 adv dur).

Not your typical street rod engine! Anyway, the carbs look monstorous on top of that small block (didn't know you could get that small of a cfm). Eyes will get big every time you raise the hood. I guess that's part of the fun. Thanks for the run down. WEK.

Engine looks great --but -- have you checked the height of those carbs and cleaners? Not sure they will fit under the hood.

Yes they will fit. Another member had the exact same setup on his engine

Sure looks like that would be right at home in a 289 FIA car, though. I couldn't get anyone at FFR to commit to whether that was next in the line-up after the 818 when I was there last weekend, but I'm waiting anxiously... as are a few others.
