Oil Pressure Sensor - Roadster

Hi Factory Five.

A couple questions if I may.

Firstly, for the oil pressure sensor supplied with the kit, can you please tell me what the thread form where it screws into th block is. I can narrow it down to either 1/8-NPT or 1/8-BSPT, just not 100% sure which one.

Secondly, the factory engine (LS3) oil press sensor has a 3 wire output. Is it possible to pull the oil press signal from the ECU and pass it to the F5R gauge?

Hi Tim!

The best I can tell is that the thread is an NPT (I believe 1/8-27 is the standard 1/8 NPT size). As far as pulling the signal from the computer, I'm not certain what kind of signal it puts out. The sender just varies resistance with pressure, but it would depend on the range. I have an LS1 in my GTM, and for that we use an adapter to be able to swap the original pressure sender over to the one supplied with the gauges.
