Hello Guys

Is it possible to put a MK4 Body on a MK3 chassis without tons of adjustment or mods.
If so what do you think I'll need to do/make in order to fit it on, or it is not worth the effort.

Having not done it I can't say for sure. I do believe the two are very similar in overall fit. The biggest stumbling block would most likely be the rear portion. The MKIV has a much lower rear deck height and the rear tubing would probably need to be reworked. I still think it is very much doable.

Define "tons of adjustments or mods".
Front body mounting points and method of attachment are different, side body mounts and method of attachment are different, tubing and aluminum from the seats rearward is different.

This will be my first built, and I have no clue the way it will go :)
I'm confident I could do the built, but ... you know, until I start it, I really don't know what I'm getting in

From what you are saying with the mounts and attachments, it seems, from my point of view, a bit complicated ...
Better off with a complete mk3 or 4 kit than a mix of both ...

I was told there are differences in the "hips" at the rear of the cockpit in addition to the differences in the rear of the car. In addition there are the geometry improvements in the suspension that make going for a MKIV a no brainer. Stick with a build that in cohesively designed together instead of cobbling together a frankenbuild.

My $.02

Would that make mine a "frankenskibuild"?;)

Thanks guys, I greatly appreciate your answers ... there is that guys that is selling a mk3 frame, but he "lost" the body ... So I was inquiring the possibility ...
David you are right by not creating a "frankenbuild"

I know FFR sells the mk3 body, and I'll search for a mk3 body for sale on the forums

I have one customer who did it, but he does not want me to post about it. ;)
