Thinking of buying a 33 but concerned that I won't fit or feel comfortable driving a 33... I have a tall torso and short legs not to mention the later years outward expansion of the mid section.... Thanks

I'm 6'4" and weigh 270 lbs. The seat is stock and installed as far back to the waterfall as it gets. Setting in the car I have plenty of head room with a head liner installed on the inside of the hardtop. Leg room is a minimal , not much room to stretch your legs completely out, long distance drives are a little uncomfortable but not unbearable with frequent stops. I have to wear a narrow width shoe to work the clutch peddle, brake and gas pedals, because of the minimal foot box space. FFR has a fix you can purchase that gives you added space in the foot box by cutting out a section of the trans. cover next to the gas pedal to help relieve this issue. Some builders on this forum have done there own modifications in this area. All in all the ride is not bad. It's not a Caddy, but a lot of fun to drive. After all, it is a HOT ROD.
Like driving a go-cart. Head room galore and as previous poster said with the seat fully back no problem. I weigh 250 lbs and fit no problem!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd likely do a automatic so that may give me more room for the feet?

Well a bit less due to the fact that the AOD is a bit wider and comprises the footwell a bit. The newer kits have corrected it a bit though so you should be good still. Hey it's a very comfortable ride and it handles like a race car. You won't regret doing it

I'd say if you've got a tall torso and shorter legs, that's the best situation for the '33 (the GTM is the opposite). I had a 6'9" guy visit here once, and he had plenty of head room with the hard top on the car. Also, there are some ways to win back some foot room (width-wise) depending on your transmission.

I'm looking into getting the stage 1 33 kit. I have some questions about it. If anyone in Oklahoma City area has one, I'd like to sit in it. How and when do you title it. How hard are they to insure?
