Like many of you, I am using the FFR/Ron Francis harness and original style Lucas toggle switches (from **********). The headlight switch section of the harness ends in a nice GM style plug and if using a GM type switch, would be an easy plug and go situation. However, since I’m using the Lucas switch, I need to cut off the plug and install female spade connectors on the wire ends.
For those of you who have already completed this, would you mind posting which wire goes to which connector on the switch? There are seven wires in the headlight switch section (the two tan wires go to the same connector) and five connectors on the back of the Lucas switch. Looking at the back of the switch, the spades are numbered 1 - 4 - 6 - 7 - 8. I don’t plan on having a courtesy light so will not use the gray wire. In short, would like to know which color wire goes to which number terminal on the switch.
Also, if you’ve using a Lucas toggle switch for the dimmer switch, would appreciate the same information. Looking at the back of the toggle switch, there are four male spade terminals (not identified) and there are three wires on the dimmer switch section of the harness (actually four wires but two (high beam and high beam indicator) are connected to the same switch terminal.
As always, many thanks for your help.
Ron
