A customer of mine is building this; he sent pictures after seeing progress updates of the GTM. No mention of what it might be however. Not a caged frame,
and appears to be an aluminum body. Is it a kit? I'll post the updates when he replies.

Lovely. Sexy. Yummy.

EDIT: Photos reposted below.

Ford GT body in white. There has to be a back story on how he acquired it.

Sorry about all of the drama. After speaking with the owner, he allowed me to repost the photos, but not to elabroate on the details/names. This is apparently a sensitive acquistion, and rare opportunity. If he's not mistaken, there is only one other floating
around.

Wow. This is VERY intriguing! so am I understanding this correctly that it may be a factory chassis? Do you think there is any chance they are going to release more? There was a post last week about a guy who had his ultra low mileage GT stolen. The cops found it but the body had been chopped. The would be cool if the car could be rebuilt with a new chassis...

I can tell you for certain it's a factory chassis, but I wouldn't be able to comment on Ford releasing any further units. I
don't know anything about that sort of thing.

It would suck to have a car like that (or any...) stolen. The insurance would never make it right, and as you say, he's
SOL for getting parts.

Here's something I thought you would all enjoy. Try to guess the make of the car this is built upon (don't follow the photo link info, no cheating allowed!):

That's the kit from Puke Replicas. They've produced many a kit car over the past few decades! ;)

Looks to be based on a 3rd. generation GM F body.

I agree. My guess is a convertable camero/firebird.

How ugly must the original car have been that you would want to cover it up to look like that??

My goodness that is one ugly thing-- calling it a car is just not appropriate!

Steve

I used to think I could find a little beauty in anything.

I stand corrected.
