hi
i am thinking about building a 65 coupe for my next challenge so i signed up to this site.

a little about myself

i have been a ASE certified body man and painter for the last 30 years. i have gone to about 30 I-CAR training classes also.
i have restored or helped restore about 30 old mopars.
i have also help restore about 6 or 7 fox body mustangs.
i also help a friend do mods on new mustangs, mainly mods on GT500's, on the weekends for spare cash.

hopefully i will pick up a few tricks on building FFR kits.

Sounds like you are more than qualified! Do you have an idea of what build specs you are aiming for?

Compared to your resume, the Coupe should be lots of fun. With no degreasing or rust removal to do, half of your project will already be done when you start! Welcome!

i have a 5.4 supercharged motor out of a 07 GT500 and a TKO500 trans i picked up for a reasonable price.
i have a hydro boost brake booster from a sn95 mustang. spindles for the front, rotors and calipers front and rear from a 04 mach 1 mustang on the shelf.
thats my starting point.

i am not sure if i should buy a deluxe kit or a basic kit and buy the rest of the donor parts from some mustang friends i know.

before i buy anything more i have to sell a 72 hemi road runner and a 71 cuda project car.

Wow, would love to see some pics of the cars you are selling!

A 5.4 has been done before but I believe a frame mod or 2 is required. I hope you will detail the build here so we can add it to the build Wiki.
