Hello everyone. I have known about Factory Five Racing and their kit cars for a few years now and have now as of last week decided that I was going to save up and start building my own 33' Ford. Right now, my plan is to have an open wheeled 2000 hp monstrosity (though that could change due to the fact that the frame may simply not be strong enough to withstand that kind of power). I'm 23 years old, in the Active Duty Air Force and also run an Amsoil Dealership right out of my garage. Can't wait to cruise around the forums and read up on some of the builds. I did that earlier today before I registered and it really is very cool to see these awesome cars being built from the ground up. I love all of the originality. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the build and I look forward to reading this forum. Have a fantastic day!

It's not much of an update, but one none-the-less. Not to many people will read this as there are much more interesting things on here to read but, I have 1% of my total 15,000 dollars to buy the initial stage and engine saved for my 33!

That great news, now you only have 6 more years of saving to go. I'm sure you'll find a way to expidite that!

2% Saved now! Starting January, I'm going to be dumping a LOT more into my savings. My goal is to buy the first stage by September of 13'.

Welcome to the forum, but I have to ask a question. What do you plan to do that requires 2000 HP? I'm hoping you tell me that was a typo.

Update for everyone, I'm at 5% saved now.
Jeff,
I am not going to be doing anything that requires 2000 horsepower, all I was going to do was get an engine from Nelson Racing Engines that already has that kind of power built into it. Does the 33' ford chassis have the capability to with stand that kind of power? Probably not, it's just a dream so far. http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/engines/chevy/Twin-Turbo-Daily-Driver-Series.html
