Fuel Line Plumbing

I'm about to start my fuel and brake lines without my engine being here. I just wondered if someone could post some pics of their coyote in the frame so I could see an approximate location to run my solid fuel lines to, before they switch over to flexible hose. Thanks.

Here's what I did. Used tubing from Summit and added AN fittings.

It's going well. Finishing up sheet metal and moving on to brake and fuel lines. I'm kinda skipping around because I am waiting on different parts here and there.

Clemson, is the fuel line hookup on the DS of the engine? It looks like your flexible hose is heading that way. I definitely like the location for the regulator. I'll have some extra room since I don't have a heater to mount up there.

Engine fuel inlet on top of DS fuel rail. It's probably not a good idea to run the fuel lines through the tunnel. Last summer at Thunderhill raceway there was a situation where a car builder had done that very thing...the driver shredded a clutch, which then became shrapnel and pierced the non SFI bell housing, as well as the nearby fuel lines! The resulting fire was not pretty. Suggest keeping the fuel lines outside the frame rail for safety.

My routing under the car is pretty much the same as Clemson's - outside the framerail under the passanger side. I brought them up along the passenger footbox althought they are not expanded footboxes. I choose the Aeromotive A1000-6 regulator.

I thought about running inside the frame rails, but my bellhousing was rather tight, plus the trans bracket is in the way.

I used the same regulator as bansheekev.

Another question... Are you guys running the 5/16 fuel line provided by FFR, or going to 3/8" line?

They say 5/16 works but I used 3/8 because it's a lot easier to get AN fittings for the rest of the connections with 3/8. I bought summit tubing and flared everything 37° for AN.

hmm, I am in the middle of the feul portion of my build. I am using the 3/8 alum tubing in parts of it. I am welding AN adapters on the ends of the tubing. I saw the conectors availiable, but I thought they were only rated to about 35psi. I am running EFI, which of course needs 60psi. What do you guys think? I'm sure guys are doing it like the pics above, and haveing no problems?

AN fittings are routinely used for power steering/power brakes, where the PSI can be well over 1000.

I don't know, I'm only going on what I read. This discription does not say a specific preasure but it does say it's good for low preasure. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-165056erl/overview/

I realize AN fittings are good for high preasure, but I was talking about the AN to tube fittings, the tubeing portion of it, not the AN portion of it. Well I can't find the discription that gave a specific preasure rating, but I did see it. I even saw certian aluminum tubing that was only rated for lower preasures. I am useing Earls tubing, it is givin a 100 psi rating.

How much room is there around that diagonal support from the frame rail to the firewall? I ask because I have a fuel filter I want to mount there. It's probably under 2 inches in diameter.

Thinking of going nylon fuel line like oem, I've read about braided weeping fumes. The fuel regulator takes a orb -6 Fitting, 16923 Push-On EFI, Straight, Male -6 AN, Male Quick-Connect 3/8 in., Zinc Plated Russell 644020 think this fitting would work then I could just go nylon fuel line from regulator to ford fuel rail. Just need to know if I'm correct on the regulator fitting side.

I ended up using the nylon lines very clean and easy to work with.
