electric cars/quad bikes for kids.

I remember reading somewhere on here about "upgrades" to electric ride on cars/quad bikes for kids but can't remember the brand.

Does anyone remember what brand they were? All I can find is Peg Perigo which seem to have a bad reputation here in the UK, and "hot wheels" just turns up the die cast ones.

I'm looking to get one for my kids (6 & 5) but don't want to fork out the money on one that will be too slow and boring for them in 6 months time. Most of them seem that way unless there is an after market upgrade path to follow. And let's face it, who doesn't like to tinker...

my kids used a power wheels jeep for years. If used on the grass the plastic tires are fine, on asphault they wear out. about 5mph tops... but you could modify any way that you want if you are handy
