Some of the GTM guys in the GTM section of this forum, including me, were wondering if we could get an update on when to expect delivery of the Mendeola Transaxle. Also, can anyone from FFR or Mendeola please post which pressure plate, disc, flywheel, throw out bearing, will be required? LS1,LS6 or LS3 LS7? Starter motor? Any other accessories required for the install? What about shifter and shift cables too? Will they be part of the transaxle purchase or do we need to get them separately. If so, what parts and from what supplier?

Thanks,
Rick

I just got back this evening from visiting Mendeola. Very nice shop. I have a bunch of pictures that mad dog can put up on Monday. The parts are coming together as you will see. More on Monday.

I am glad to see I'm not the only one looking for up to the minute info. I want to buy a Mendeola trans but I would like to hear some feedback on the ones that have been delivered so far. A new trans that is made in the USA is exactly what I would like to put in my GTM,but I am cautious of a new product. Thanks

Rick,

I'll answer the clutch questions since I just went through all of this.

The Mendeola transaxle with a GM LS7 motor, you'll need the following clutch (Stock GM LS1 - LS6 or stock GM LS7 clutch will not work with the LS7 motor):

Kennedy 11" street pressure plate - part# KEP-GMP11
Kennedy organic disc - part# KEP-S11 for 26 spline

Use the above clutch with a stock GM LS1 - LS6 flywheel (LS7 flywheel will not work)

For LS1 - LS6 motor, you can use the stock LS1 - LS6 clutch, PP and flywheel but will have limited adjustment capability. The above clutch setup will work for the LS1 - LS6 motors and have more adjustability.

Throw out bearing is already installed in the Mendeola transmission.

Pilot bearing is listed in Mendeola's instructions which I don't have in front of me right now.

Starter, IIRC, is an IMI 140. :)
