After reading a recent thread on the other forum regarding fuse panel placement I knew I didn't want it mounted up under the dash. I spent some time just sitting and looking since the coupe has good footbox access I came up with this. Time will tell if this was a good idea or not but I think it turned out pretty well.

Not having built a Coupe, my concern would be moisture getting up in that area. You might want to think about some type of water tight enclosure for the fuse panel. It would make getting to the fuses easy compared to up/inside/in the foot box.

Ditto Ray's concerns.

Water in fuse panel from washing under hood etc.

Fuse on left.

Noted and already working on a lexan cover with gasket. Hoping it will provide the best of both worlds

For being different and innovative, it gets an A. That alone is better than whatever "classic" and obscure location it could have been hidden in.

The Cobra, and especially the Coupe, were meant for competition first, and street comfort second. It makes a great deal of sense to put things like fuse boxes where a crew can service it quickly in a pit stop. It certainly won't hurt an owner, either.

In racing the fuse panel would be mounted on dash with driver access out of moisture from rain etc.
