I know I havent posted any progress on this kit, but its just about ready to go to paint. It will be leaving for Dartmouth Collision the first week of September.
This car is a 302 with Mass Flo, B303 cam, new rings bearings gaskets etc. Trans is a Tremec 3550 and the rear is all new IRS with 3:55 gears.

Here is a list of some of the options in this car.
Breeze front battery mount
Breeze upper and lower radiator hoses
Cobra R brakes all around
SN95 front spindles
FFR supplied Replica wheels
Michelin Pilot Sport tires
Breeze hidden trunk hinges
FFR hood hinge

Still havent done the first start or finished the wiring for the engine, but I can do all that once the chassis comes back from th epaint shop.
Mike

Hopefully after paint it will be going off to its new owners just one town over from me.

Mike - Can you tell us more about that trunk support that works with the Breeze trunk hinges?

The trunk support attaches to the hinges and the bar that the seat belts wrap around. This takes all the load off of the trunk lid. Also it is almost completely hidden once installed It does require drilling and tapping a hole in each arm, but other that that its a straight forward install.

And is this something that you sell? I couldn't find it on the Breeze or FFR sites.

It's on my web site at
Www.replicaparts.com. Although it has not been updated with this new kit yet. Same price as the mark 3 kit.

Mike,
I'd also like some more detail on that. I saw your 'trunk support kit', but the hinge kit is different.
Can you post some more detailed pictures? That looks like something I would like to add.

Thanks,
John

Please note. the collars holding the ball were just to find the perfect spot to drill. These are not included in the final kit. You must drill and tap the hinge arms as shown in other pictures.

I have 5148, a MkII with a grey body.

Just curious if the body is original to the car.

Yes it is. FFR at some point changed the numbering and there is some overlaps. This kit is a mark3 from 2005. I also built 5140 just before this one and it was black as well. Also from 2005

Very nice engineering, Michael! I might consider that before the final body work is done on mine. Right now though, there are other more pressing sub projects.

Thanks, WEK.

Actually I borrowed the idea from Ron Everitt. He gets all the credit for this great design.
