Im using the Ford Racing Supercharge Control Pack in my Mk4 to use a 2008 GT500 5.4L.
Ive followed the instructions word for word and can not get the starter to crank. When I turn the ignition to run, you can hear the sound of some sensors??(at least thats what they sound like) turn on and a pump like sound coming from the air intake but when I turn to crank the only sound is a click as the relay closes and opens.
Ive jumped the relay on the Power Distribution Board, no crank. I have continuity from the start of the starter request wire to the solenoid but not from the Power Distribution Board to the wire.
Ford Racing say they have never had a problem with the circuit board but indicate that this may be the issue.
I have a second Control Pack so I swapped out both the Power Distribution Board and the Powertrain Control Module but still no crank.
Both control packs are brand new and the PCM's are consecutively numbered but Im really struggling to accept that it a fault with both Control Packs.
Ive run a Battery positive to the solenoid and it cranked immediately, so its not the solenoid/starter.
Anyone have an idea of what Im doing wrong or could I have 2 faulty boards?.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?
Thanks
Chris

Your problem is right in the first page of the control pack wiring instructions under the Introduction heading...

The control pack will NOT interface with anything but a 2011 5.4L engine harness. You have a 2008 harness. You need to get the '11 engine side harness to plug the control pack into. Somewhere a wire is crossed or dead ending due to the mis-matched harnesses.

I had to do the same thing with our 4.6L Three-Valve kit, as it is designed for '07 and up Three-Valve and our engine was a '06 engine.

No this isnt the problem.I have the M-6017-463V/54SC which is the correct Control pack for a 2007-2009. Instructions say it is not compatable with 2005-2006 4.6L 3V, 2010 4.6L 3V or 2010 5.4L 4V. Ford Racing was talking to me until I seemed to trace the fault to the board. When I explained that Ive swapped out the PDB & PCM they seemed to think I have 2 faulty units and all the communication seems to have stopped.
Just find it hard to accept that I could have the only 2 faulty boards in existance.

Gotcha, then you do have the right control pack. I would suggest going right to the builder of the kits then, Dunn Rite Performance...

No problem. Jeff is a good guy, and if there's an issue with the board I'm sure he can talk you through it or discuss replacement parts.

Hey all, I actually found this thread through a Google search and I am having the exact same issue. My setup is actually a 5.0L Coyote swap in a fox body Mustang, but the issue I am having is the same... if I jump the solenoid on the starter, she fires right up. But when I turn the key, all I get is a click from the relay inside the relay box. All fuses are good, and I tried swapping the Start relay with the Fan relay to see if anything changes and no dice.

I have called Dunne Right and awaiting a call back from them.
