Donor Build Mark 3 Roaster using 2001 Mustang GT. Runs Great! Car finished in late 2007, very few miles.
Exterior – Condition just short of Excellent – a few “flaws” can be found. Blue color is 1999 SAAB Lightning Blue. Painted by Specialist in Charlotte NC. Ceramic coated side exhaust. Chrome roll bar. Chrome quick jacks front and rear. Wheels are stock Mustang Bullit wheels – condition fair for the wheels and tires.
Running Gear and Mechanicals– Stock 2001 Mustang GT 4.6 SOHC with stock Fuel Injection. 5 SP Trans. 43K miles on Doner car. Parts from the donor Mustang include engine, transmission, rear axle, 4 wheel disk brakes, steering rack, wiring harness, computer and all required electronics. Factory Five lower A arms rather than Mustang donor. OBD connector installed and accessible under dashboard. Alignment and suspension setup done by local Foreign Car Repair Shop. Donor car purchased at Insurance auction. 2001 GT Conv had been t-boned at driver door above frame rail. Car had been totaled, but damage did not impact any parts required for the build.
Interior – Seats are Factory Five Black Vinyl Roadster Seats. . Steering wheel installed is the Factory Five Leather Steering Wheel – also have the wood wheel. Start via push button. Gauges are Speedo, tach, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, fuel , and volts. Indicator lights include high beam and right and left turn signals. Turn signals, high beam switch and headlights are mounted under the dashboard. Also under dashboard is a cigarette lighter to support accessories. Two toggle switches on the dash provide power for future needs (wires are under the dash – use to date has been power for the temporary windshield wiper). Also on the dash is the horn button. Seat belts are stock Factory Five Simpson Race Harness.
Licensed in Delaware as 1965 Ford Cob. Current registration is through July 2014. Delaware State inspection does not require catalytic converters or any emission check.
Extras include – Powder coated frame, three link rear suspension, bump steer kit.
