And can anyone from FFR or Mendeola please post which clutch cover, disc, flywheel, throw out bearing will be required? LS1,LS6 or LS3 LS7? Starter motor? Any other accessories required for the install? I would like start gathering the parts to have them on hand when the transaxle arrives.

I guess all of us who are on the first 15 list are asking the same questions. Let me try in the "ask Factory Five" section of this forum.

AFAIK all this information is being handled by FFR.
As far as part numbers for required items, Ian has told me that he has passed along the part numbers of the items that they used when developing this box to FFR, and it is their final call as to what will be advisable with this transaxle package.
So again, FFR is where the answers appear to be needed from. It is possible that FFR wants to test the first couple production models themselves, and I completely understand this, before releasing this info. I don't know this for sure, but it is certainly what I would do if I was in their position, so sorry to really be of no help at all in answering the questions, but at least maybe now you know where to ask and why you possibly aren't getting any immediate answers. :)

The Mendeola unit will be able to use the stock LS clutch and flywheel. The customer is also responsible for getting the following parts:
Starter - A Hitorque IMI performance IMI-140
CV joints - Porsche 930, recommend a good one like a GKN unit.
Fluids

Just to let builders know, My Race Shop sells a 2 CV GKN kit specifically for this application, and I don't believe you will find a better price for this combo of parts. You can find it here:

I am also looking at putting a "completion kit" together that will include the above listed required items for one stop shopping. :)

I am doing some more reasearch before buying my GTM kit and the clutch / transaxle is my only concern at this point.
It's good to see a stock clutch can be used, and I'm assuming any aftermarket replacement (IE: McLeod) will also fit.
Has an estimate on price been announced for the Mendeola transaxle? Power ratings?
Thanks!

I found some answers to my questions from the FFR Parts page:
The transaxle bolts directly to the LS engine block without bell housing adaptor. It is a limited slip differential with 930 drive stubs and 10 x 1.50 bolt holes. It has Tremec 26 spline input shaft to accommodate stock flywheel and uses A356 T6 cast aluminum housing. Transmission fluid capacity is 5 quarts and total weight is 185 lbs. Requires 78-79 Porsche 930 40 mm CV joints.
Shipping is $299. THIS IS A CUSTOM DESIGNED PART. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 12 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY.
SKU #26106
Price: $8600.00
I believe the estimate for power holding is about 400-500 HP
My follow up question is:
Is this current information, and should we expect 12 weeks for delivery (or has Mendeola since increased production)?

You will need a IMI-140 Starter. The best price I could find was at the following link. They have them in stock and was shipped the same day.
