Is there a vendor that makes the panels for the MK3 cheaper than FF?

What are you trying to accomplish? (replacing them? modifying them? FFR too expensive or doesn't stock them anymore? I think most of the mk4 panels will fit the mk3)
Most of the panels can be made with a fine-tooth jigsaw & inexpensive metal brake. (I've remade the entire passenger FB (larger), the PS F-Panel (no hole), and the firewall (re-cut for firewall forward), in addition to modifying a number of existing panels on my mk4).
Some panels are available from vendors, depending on which panel(s) you are looking for.
I know Breeze, FFmetal, and Darkwater Customs carries a few replacement / modified panels.

I'm not sure of FFR's costs for each specific pannel but with FFR you are getting the proper fitment.
However, if you google sheet metal aluminum suppliers and specify the FFR quality spec's - there are suppliers for various spec's, sizes and thicknesses. Quite affordable for the raw sheet aluminum for custom panel work.
I picked up 1/2 dozen sheets from a supplier in California - can't recall the supplier though
good luck

The guy that had the car before me did not finish and made a bunch of mistakes. I want to replace all the sheet metal in the engine bay. Someone told me there is a vendor that provides the right fit panels for 1/2 the price, but did not remember who it was. I have a great deal of clean to do to the car and am trying to save a couple of bucks. I am very meticulas about astetics and trying to make it look the way it should, but not go broke. Thanks

FF Metal sells some of the panels you want to replace, but I think Factory Five is going to be your only source for all the panels. If money is a consideration you may want to consider making the panels yourself. Several years ago I bought a 4' X12' piece of 6061 from Hadco Metals for about $125 delivered. The price has probably gone up, but you get the idea. You can make a lot of panels with an entire sheet. If you have access to a shear and a brake it will be your cheapest option.

I saw pics of your car at performance as I went to Ron for ideas. The color and paint is awesome.

Welcome to the forum and the fun of building a car. I did a lot of sheet metal work/modifications on my car and would be happy to share the how and why of my modifications. If you went to Performance I guess you must be somewhat local. Send me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you a call.

2nd aircraft spruce. I bought four 2x4 foot pieces and they were by far the least expensive. They also shipped them in a nice cardboard box w/ wood frame so they arrived in perfect condition. I don't know how they do it.
