Mk4 passenger footbox

I have 2 questions. Would the new, bigger passenger footbox on the Mk4 fit a Mk3.1 chassis? If it does, would Factory Five be willing to sell those pieces as a kit? It would save me the hassle of trying to build a new footbox myself. (and I also noticed that FFMetal no longer offers a footbox kit) Help me make points with my passenger, please.(My wife!) Thanks

The Mk4 uses different Footbox protection tubes. They have a 3" radius instead of 6" which pushes them out to the corner giving more room. The front footbox panel has a slightly different hole shape so you would probably have to make a small patch panel to go around your tube. Other than that it should work.
