Well after watching factory five and getting catalogs from the day they opened their doors and wondering if I could ever do it. The time might be sooner then expected since I have purchased a few cars and if I sell everything then it would leave me a good size budget. I am not reallly a brand car guy, I owned all kinds of stuff, but lately mostly ford. I looked at new cars, but the cost for the fun stuff is huge and they depreciate super fast too. Keep going back and forth Roadster or Coupe, wind in the hair I got left or Lemans exotic cool factor. But I don't see a ford motor, thinking stroked LS2 good power and lightweight package.

Do it! These things are a blast. You can't go wrong with a Coupe or Roadster, but my lack of hair meant I needed a roof. We went with the Coupe.

Plenty of bowtie powerplants in FFRs, too. BMW v-12, too.

Oh, and welcome to the FORUM!

Welcome aboard!
Go for it. There are certainly more roadsters than coupes, so a coupe would be cool.
Building one of these has been one of the most fun things I have done in years.

On the Chevy power, have some thick skin for the comments that will surely follow.
And they will tell you it will hurt re-sale.

But it's your car, do what you want. :)

First of all, welcome to the forum!
If you do the straight jacket thing, the coupe is a pretty cool project. It's a way to get a flip front end without having to modify. It's one of the badest looking race cars on the planet. I think you have been doing your homework because using the LS will keep your weight to near the roadster's weight. So that would help performance all by itself, hp/w ratio. The neat thing is if you raised the hood, how long would it take the average guy to figure out that you had a non Ford engine in the bay (if you leave the badges off). Oh well, you will have fun no matter which one you choose. Good luck, WEK.

Welcome! I have the roadster and love it. The wife keeps worrying about her hair blowing off.Roger
