Custom Front Fender Liners

I decided to make a radical change from the existing way the fender lines are done. I finally got the design finished last night.

I am going the route of the Borland Daytona Sports Car where the top of the wheel wells stay attached to the car when the hood is opened.

I have the passenger side mold done and will be applying the fiberglass tonight. The top part is already is made and the new fiberglass will mate to the top. You can see the top part on the drivers side still in place ready to be marked and cut to fit. The top parts were made with clearance made by using 1/2 foam carpet underlay.

I love your work but do have one comment to make on this mod. Make them removable, I ofetn position myself in the wheelwell to get at and work on the engine, those are going to make it much harder. :-) Ron your a crazy man! :-)

I always planned to have them removable. That is why I am building them with a lip so they can be bolted on. When they are removed I will have complete access.

Ron Keep us posted. Maybe when they are finished you can use the molds to make additional sets to help defray the expenses (hear the hidden thought - hint, hint, hint)
