The crew at Gemini Motorsports in Houston, TX have recently completed the build of an absolutely beautiful Factory Five Type 65 Coupe. The crews lead fabricator and chief of design Jose said that they took Factory Five’s idea of a “blank canvas” and did some really cool things with the car. The item that immediately caught our eye was the 4.6L “Terminator” engine that they squeezed into the engine bay.

With a custom interior and a rear end with a hint of GR-1 concept car styling, this is a great example of how our customers make these cars all their own.

Great job Jose and the crew at Gemini Motorsports!

I'm sure this cost a bundle and a lot of work went into this coupe. However, I'm a traditionalist and like the originals much better. I think the absence of the side pipes make it look unfinished, especially with the exposed body bolts. Do not like the rear end at all. The interior looks like any run of the mill high end Detroit product. Don't care for the wheels at all. That said, I appreciate the amount of work and design that went into this car, and certainly the engine compartment, but I would bet that with a little massaging you could pop a 302 into this area of HP at a lot less expense. Again, this car is an expression of those that designed it and they certainly have the right to their choice. Not my cup of tea!

In my opinion he did a remarkable job of combining styling from the original and the GR1. Everyone has their own vision and I'm sure when mine is done it won't be everyones cup of tea either

You're right about the side of the car. It is surprising to see the space for the side pipes and body bolts showing on such a high end project. I would have expected some more thinking outside the box and some sort of side dressing that would have finished it off. They missed a good opportunity to customize it even more. The wheels don't fit the picture. But I guess if it is going by at 160 mph, you wouldn't notice that. Ha-ha! That's where the project shines. WEK.
