Well after a lot of numbers crunching, soul searching, bank account searching, I ordered the base kit. Added the following options:

Powdercoat
body cut outs
3 link deluxe
ceramic coated headers
vintage gauges
chassis wiring harness
96-04 donor package
chrome roll bar d/s
lower control arms
17x9 and 17x10.5 wheels

Forgot to add the driveshaft and will add that as well. We (my uncle and I) have been gathering parts for almost a year and a half. Should have the majority of everything purchased, but left plenty of wiggle room, financially, for some changes and additions. The completion date is Oct. 27. Once delivered I will begin to embark on the same journey as most of you on this forum. Been gathering notes and tidbits of valuable information for the past year or so, after delivery I'll just need to put them to use.

Good news. The only advise I can offer is to consider everything carefully from the standpoint of how hard would it be to change/upgrade later. IE: front UCAs. Mustang stuff will get you on the road cheap.Tubular replacements are an easy change later. OTOH, heater is easy to do while building and a real pain later. BTW since you are in NY,definately do a heater. My first FFR was a MkI I bought from the builder. It was a very basic donor build w/ a stock efi 302 and stock T5 but he had put in a 355 diff. That one simple thing made the car a blast to drive even in it's basic form so, if you need to save some $ here and there, don't worry, you will still have a ton of fun.

What are peoples opinion on doing seat heaters opposed to an actual heater and relying on the engine/exhaust to heat the lower portion of the vehicle ?
