Huge congrats and kudos to Factory Five customer Jeff Barfield as his turbocharged 600 HP Mk4 Roadster is profiled in Modified Mustangs & Fords Magazine by tech editor Mark Houlahan.

Jeff base his build on a 408 cu. in. Windsor block and used Borg Warner’s T6 83 mm turbo for boost. The article has a comprehensive list of the engine parts and other upgrades. Steve says that “with race gas and adjustable boost, the engine is capable of over 1,000 HP, but after the first ride, I got out of the car shaking and found my limit.”

The article is written by Modified Mustangs & Fords technical editor Mark Houlahan. Mark is a great editor, active on Ford, Mustang, and Factory Five internet forums, AND Mark has built his own Factory Five Mk3 Roadster, so he knows a think or two about build quality.
You can find the article in this month’s September 2012 issue of Modified Mustangs & Fords Magazine. Congratulations again to Jeff and big thanks to Mark Houlahan!

Mark has also written a series of articles about his own Factory Five build. You can read them on Modified Mustangs & Fords website by clicking here (http://www.mustangandfords.com/sch/02/factory-five/articles/index.html).

Thanks, I am glad to be finished with the car and out enjoying it. I would like to thank Mark Houlahan for writing a great article about me and the car. I would also like to thank this forum and the FFcars.com for all the build help. I hope I can represent the FFR community well with my build. The car is making 700-725 rwhp all the time at my low boost level and 924-1,100rwhp with race gas, the car is very controllable up to about 950rwhp after that the steering is VERY light and the car will make you mess your pants!!!

Congrats Jeff, beautiful build but I have to say that even with the 700 rwhp I think I would be packing a change of shorts.
