On behalf of everyone at Factory Five Racing, I'd like to extend our congratulations to Larry Webster as he assumes the responsibilities of Editor-in-Chief at Road & Track Magazine.

I met Larry twelve years again when he tested the then-new Factory Five Spec Racer and Type 65 Coupe for Car & Driver Magazine. I came to know Larry as a very competent engineer, and accomplished driver, and a good writer. After a long career at Car & Driver and numerous Factory Five features, Larry went on to Popular Mechanics Magazine where he brought car guy expertise to their automotive writing.

This month, Larry's introduction to Road & Track Magazine readers is through his column, "Turn One." It's not too common that I buy a magazine for just ONE writer. Road & Track's a good car magazine and now I have one more reason to reach for it on the rack!

Best of luck, Larry!

Now I have another reason (other than Peter Egan) to read R&T. Speaking (writing) of reasons, that photograph, which used to be included in the reprint of the R&T test that was included in FFR brochures was one of the reasons I bought my car - that is just a too cool photo!!!

Congrats to Larry Webster! His Car & Driver article got me hooked on the Type 65 Coupe. I ended up selling my '64 Maserati Sebring "project car" to make room for the Coupe kit, which I purchased in August '01. It's been a great ride in the coupe with almost 14,000 miles on it ... next stop ... Monterey!
