I'm using SN95 lower control arms and spindles and a 1987 steering rack. I know the purpose of the rack extension is to move the inner tie rod pivot point close to the lower control arm one. With my combination of parts it seems to move it well outside as the SN95 lower arms go on the inside holes in the frame mounts. Do I still need the rack extenders with this set up?

Thanks
Norm

Maybe not? I have rack extenders, and I did some basic measuring before installing them. I found that without them the pivot point was about 3/4" inside of the control arm pivot, but with them is was going to be 3/4" outside of that point. My conclusion was it wasnt going to line up the inner pivot any better with than without. Seeing as I will be using plenty of caster, which will raise the steering arm, I'm not going to install them.
