Too each his own, but I do hate it when you think you are doing something unique and someone else posts something that is much the same. We are preparing the Mendeola Transaxle, Baja Designs, FFR PDG GTM for a special event and have been working for months on the details. The lighting was supposed to be something entirely unique and unlike anything I had ever seen on a GTM...but there are the tail lights and headlights of what we are doing, for the most part, right there in that video. DAMN!! :(

For some reason burnouts and doing donuts never gets old. Childish? Maybe. I guess I'm a child then.

One of the reasons I chose a gtm was the unlimited burnout capability.

Something about converting gasoline into melted rubber that makes me happy.

I'm not sure how much power is needed to light em up at highway speeds with just throttle, but that is my measure of success.

It all depends on how you build the car. If you build it by the FFR guide book, then yes, it'll get real hot inside. But in FFR's defense, the guide book is basically a guide to get you on the road/track ASAP with minimum fuss. The bare minimum you need, nothing more as at the end of the day, the GTM is supposed to be a race car.

However, if you go above and beyond what its required of you in the guide book then you can get the car pretty comfortable inside. I have A LOT of sound and heat shielding in my car and sealed the cockpit from the engine bay as well as i could. That includes the center console tunnel too. And i have to say, my car doesnt get very hot inside at all. I also have AC, i think a majority of GTM owners have AC installed. The guys who intend to have nothing more than a weekend street legal track weapon didnt bother with AC...

There not Lotus lights. But they are used on the Gumpert Apollo And I think one of the Koenigsegg models use them with a custom made trim ring. And same goes with the Zonda F. And some other car that I cant remember right now. There on Rallylights.com
The lights come in 3 pieces so you can customize them just the way you want. They will set you back around 250 a piece and dont be in any rush waiting on them!

No. The lights I am using I did post about and even posted a picture or two, but they aren't the ones I have available on the site. I only got two sets of these current ones, and the supplier said that he had no more of them.
