I spoke to Stewart Transport today and am expecting delivery of my MK4 at the end of the week.
They told me to have a set of jack stands ready to put the body and frame on upon delivery.
I built my body buck last month, but am concerned about having enough clearance on the bottom for the body and frame together on jack stands.
I have 6 ton jack stands. I did this because I like the height that the 6-ton stands provides - about 16 inches.
I also have wheel dollies that I can use if the stands are too high.
Can someone tell me the height of the MK4 prior to removing the body.
Thanks

Do they transport it from the street to your garage ? I have received an e-mail quote, but haven't spoke to them about specifics like that.

Yes, they have a little crane to get ti off the truck down to a large dolly. They then wheel it into your garage and place it on your jack stands

16" should be fine

The driver had to dolly my kit about 40 yards (I live off of a Texas Farm to Market road, and the driver couldn't get closer), but we got it there no problem. He'll lift each end up and you place the jackstands, I have about 14" under my frame, and the top of the frame is about 42". The body only adds a couple of inches (the highest part is the curved frame piece for the dash). How tall is your buck? Hopefully you'll have enough clearance. I have a friend who left his body on his porch (no buck) for a year sitting on concrete. It fit very nicely when he mounted it on the frame, so I'm not sure if there is really a need for the buck. But it is nice if you need to move the body out of the way (I have a 3 car garage, but with my Harley it is pretty cramped and I move the buck partially out into the driveway when I'm working on the car).

From the bottom of the 4" chassis tubes to the top of the cowl is approximately 32". Removing the body gains almost nothing because it sits < 1" above the dash hoop on the chassis.
