Sooooo... I went to the factory and got a tour on Saturday. The guys were all very helpful and the tour was awesome. I even got to see them putting together four roadster kits while I was there. The entire time, I was looking for my name. You see, my kit was supposed to be done on Saturday, so I was hoping to get a picture with it before Stewart came to pick it up. After checking every kit I saw, we came to the assembly area and one of the kits was an IRS. I told the guys about my situation and they said they didn't recognize the name so the one he was working on was probably it. They encouraged me (didn't take much) to sign my initials on it and that would be the one they sent me, so I did.

Now the apology. To the person who gets a roadster kit with IRS and it has the initials "WTH" written on the driver-side footbox... I'm sorry for writing on your car. I called Stewart today to get an idea of the delivery schedule, and they informed me that my car was already picked up on Friday. Oops! If it means anything, I have pictures of your car going together, if that will help make it up to you.

Regardless of the mixup, I would encourage anyone even remotely interested in the slightest posibility of building one of these cars, to go visit them. You won't regret it (but your wallet might).

seriously, those initials will come right off with some mineral spirits. It'll be fun to find out who it is though. I hope they chime in.

Hey, that may be my car. It's supposed to be ready for pickup this weekend. I'll look for your initials. If so, I hope your initials are HR.

LOL that's funny. Great tour, I was a couple of week back.

I can see it now, two weeks from now there will be a post asking if there is any significant meaning to 'WTH' being written on the driver side footbox, and if they should call Factory Five to make sure the panel is okay to use. :-)

Pretty funny actually and as David says, it will clean right off with a little acetone or mineral spirits. And yes... tour the factory, it really is a cool place!
