Jeep is a 2012 Wrangler Sport with 374 miles, my Vette is an 08 with 44k miles. I can trade even up. I have other go fast cars and the GTM will be done by the end of the year. That said, the Vette has to be one of my favorite bang for the buck cars I have ever owned. The thought of the Jeep with so few miles intrigues me and since I have a Motorhome, the Jeep for could be a nice addition (easy to tow behind and venture places a car will not).

So......what would you do?

Tough call but I think you have to go with the Jeep behind the motorhome being thaat you have the GTM.

The Sport is the entry level model and in short time the mileage will be a lot higher. I think the Vette has a higher value than the Jeep. If it was me I'd be asking for some cash with the deal.

Good points, I'll see if the dealership wants to dance.

My first car was a 1979 Jeep CJ5 with a 304 V8. I still have it. Ill never sell it.

The new jeeps are much much better. There is somthing about a jeep. I just love mine.
Towing it behind the motor home is perfect.

When the GTM is done im going to rebuild the Jeep for the 3rd time in 20 years I have had it.

All this stuff I have learned from the GTM build will allow me to do things I have always wanted to do but never knew how.

Does it have to be THAT jeep?

Seems like a Corvette should get you a Rubicon or at least a higher trim than the basic Sport.

Other than that, I agree the GTM kinda nullifies the Vette.

The Vette and the GTM are two completely different animals, the Vette feels very refind and "Much Easier" to drive at "arrest me" speeds. The Jeep is so different but equally unpractical. I think your all right, The Jeep should be an upper level or there should be cash involved.

I wouldn't do it with the dealership. It's like going to a pawn shop. There is always the profit margin in the back of both their minds. With that kind of deal, you will loss. Trade the vette with an individual who has the model jeep you want. That way it should be more of an even deal. If you put an add on the web the jeeps will pop up faster than you think. IMO. WEK.

I am changing directions, sorta. I have decided not to take the Jeep/Vette trade. I will trade/sell my higher mile SUV for a Jeep and sell the Vette via Craigslist or one of those online car sites. Now I just need to find a Jeep worth 15K that is not beat up (eaiser said than done) these things really hold their value! Thanks for the advise, your answers saved me about 4K as the value (according to NADA) is 28K for the Vette and 24K for the Jeep. Man the 374 miles was calling my name.
