I have my dash wiring completed with the exception of the red trouble light. The Ron Francis harnes does not have a trouble light lead.

what controls the red dash light and how is it typically wired?

Thx

Either wire it to your alternator ( instructions in the rf manual) or your parking brake. both are useful and some states require the parking brake indicator.

I wired mine to the cooling fan, so that it lights when my cooling fan is triggered by the sensor. Use it where it makes sense for you.

There are no dumb questions. I have a RF harness in my m3 . It depends on the alternator you have.Seems to me that
I had to wire in a resistor between two wires for the light to work.Light stayed on until the car was started .
Someone on the forum or FF should have a wiring diagram.

RonnieP, shall the resistor be placed between the two wires on the lamp and then one wire connected to the ignition power, the other one goes to the wire connected to the alternator?
