Anyone in Corpus Christi have ties to companies needing equipment operators? I have a buddy who recently moved to Corpus Christi and is separating from the Navy SEABEES. Anyone know of anyone? Please pm me if "yes". Resume available upon request.

I have an office in Corpus Christi (I drive about an hour into town each day for work). I don't know of anyone personally looking for operators, but he should check into work for any of the companies working in the Eagle Ford Shale. I have met some kids who are making $10,000 a month. Hot work, have to wear Nomex and hard hats, but I'm sure your friend is used to that. I live on the south edge of the field (on Lake Corpus Christi). There are pipeline company trucks everywhere and much of the work is installing pipelines and building firewalls around tank batteries, so heavy equipment experience should be a great ticket. I pass hundreds of trucks each morning at 5a.m. on Interstate 37 that are going north to work. Highway used to be empty at that time. Your friend should not have any trouble finding work here.

Like Sstrong says, things are booming down there with oil and gas stuff. He should do fine. Just get out with resume and hit offices in the field.
