I was hoping to see some pics of quick releases for your roadster, spec racer, or coupe steering wheel. I planned on using one of the many kits but so far I have not seen an application that will work as a bolt on. I have gotten some pretty interesting input from some vendors I've contacted so far. This may be more difficult than I guessed it would be. I don't know if the GTM and hot rod have similar steering shafts. I'm pretty sure that the GTM would be a GM from the donor but if you guys have any ideas, I would be interested to listen. Thank you in advance, WEK.

I bought the kit from Mark, Breeze. I see now, the kit requires welding the splined end to the shaft. I cannot remember from whom, but when I got my kit, you had to buy the upper shaft. It either came from Factory Five or Breeze. It already had the needed splined end.

I went to the Breeze website and saw the kits in the steering section of the on line catalogue. It looks like you can get it either way (with complete shaft or just adaptor). The thing I like is the "beefiness" of the connections. It just looks like a racing type product. I don't want a loose steering wheel in a tight curve or freeway situation! One more thing: does the polished (silver) adaptor between the black quick release part allow for the finish peice that comes with the FFR wheel? I'm talking about the part that covers the steering wheel bolts and mount for the FFR emblem. Thank you for your pic. WEK.

I have the one from breeze that is pictured above by snakebit31. It does allow for the finish piece that came with the FFR steering wheel. It is a good, stout unit with no play or sloppiness in it. You won't be dissappointed with it.

Thank all of you for showing and answering my questions. It's good to know that there is a kit that is somewhat compatible with our projects. WEK.

I use the Krontec and it works brilliant!
the spline ones all have a bit clearance, this system none!
the original is in my oppinion dangerous, so I decided to change
It has to be welded on the steering shaft, but that gives me a good feeling.
the pics show the parts, do not look on the optic.
