transmission A-frame and crossmember mount

I'm installing my engine/trans(351/AOD) and I'm noticing that the tailshaft appears to pass over the rear cross member slightly off center. Is the welded A-frame bracket on the chassis cross member intentionally off center? If so I assume that is why it appears my A-frame is asymmetrical as well.

John, You are correct it is shifted slightly to the left.
