Donor Car

Hello,
Could I have advice on what would be the best donor car for a Cobra, trying to sort out my budget and need some advice on the donor.

This question has been asked many time on both forums. You really need to take a step back and ask yourself what you want in your build. do you want a 5.0 a 4.6 or something else, solid axle or irs, 15" or 17" wheels. All of this and much more will go into picking the best donor for you. You may find that the best donor is no donor at all, but to buy new, used or rebuilt parts. Good luck with your build.

As JD mentioned, this has been discussed hundreds of times. The above link should give you some ideas about what your looking at. It depends on your goals and desires for your FFR, timeline and money situation.

Back in the day, generally speaking, the most common donor was an 89-93 Mustang 5.0. But those are getting old, harder to find and somewhat expensive.

Welcome! I started off trying to do a donor build.I used a 1992 LX as a donor.I did'nt use alot from the car and ended up replacing most of those parts with new or rebuilt parts.Roger
