I know most of us don't do the racing thing, but for those that may be interested, Mendeola is working on a new gear box. The following ratios will be available...

This, at the moment, as far as I have been told, will be a straight cut, dog ringed box meant primarily for racing purposes. This would NOT be suitable for street applications. The new box also has many revisions to the shift mechanism which I am told will make it shift much more consistantly. It is a sequential box.

Crash,

Does Mendeold have anything that can handle 710hp 625tq, thats a street box! This GTM is built for the street but will be visiting the Drag strip every so often. And needs to be able to handle it! Thanks

I have had discussions with Mike Mendeola directly and he has said that he can build an S5/SDR to handle close to 1000HP. It would be a bit of a custom build I would think, but it CAN be done, I believe. Main shafts are definitely large enough. I would think the input shaft and possibly the bearings would be the areas of concern, but that would be something to discuss with Mike or Ian.

Give Ian a call 619-710-8800 ex110.
