Second Skin coating

For the inner side walls in the footboxes, do you apply the coating on the inside or out ? And if applied inside, is therre an issue with insulation and carpeting sticking to it ? thanks

I did second skin on the outside of any of the walls that are not visible, and then used the damplifier product on the inside under the carpet.
