At the last race I managed to shatter one of the plastic headlight covers on the car. So now I need so help finding a replacement. I have seen the ones from Pegasus Racing, but they only seem to carry Carbon and spun aluminum. Anyone know a place that carries the plastic one in bright red?

Thanks

I looked a while back and only ones I found were the ones you found

OK,
I know a few here have the Aluminum covers from Pegasus Racing. I received mine and went to install them this past weekend. They seem to be too large for the FFR inner ring, and too small to be held in by the outer ring. So how did you guys mount them in?

Mine from Pegasus fit fine.

Mine from Pegasus fit fine.

How did you mount them? Inside the larger outer ring?

Marty,

I have the ones from Pegasus, along with the headlight decals they sell. The discs fit under the trim rings and were no problem, the decals were tough to put on because of the shape but I like the way they look on mine. I know Steve Marcus was also making these in carbon for a while but I am not sure if he still has any left.

Actually, I don't recall an inner ring other than the parts in the following order: rubber gasket, the bucket, the headlight, the headlight cover (Pegasus piece), and lastly the outer ring that holds the cover and provides further security for the headlight. Perhaps I'm forgeting something. Sorry if I am, but I definitely didn't have to make any adjustments to the cover so it fit. Not too helopful I'm afraid.

So here you can see the issue.
The cover is smaller than the outside ring. It is the exact same size as the inner ring instead of going inside like it should. I have no way to hole them in. What am I doing wrong, or is my setup just not the same?

Marty, take the glass headlight out, and put the aluminum instead using the inner ring to hold it in place. Adjust the alignment screws that hold the inner trim so it holds the aluminum in place. Once that is done, put the outer trim ring back on and you are done.

John, I did remove the glass/plastic part. It's just not in the pictures I posted. I will try just setting it in the space and re-adjusting the screws. I think when I tried that before the inner trim wouldn't go back far enough to get the outer trim back on.
