This is the track day I dreamed about and I was so lucky with the weather. This lap is my favourite because I fly past a 1965 V12 Ferrari! According to the camera, this is a 1.47 minute lap around a 2.4 mile circuit. if that's true, that's an average speed of 95 mph!!

That's my son as passenger and I let him have a go - never been so bl**dy terrified in all my life!

After lunch I had some instruction, but still coudn't get it all right! Best news was I asked the instructor (a well known British racing driver and journalist) what he felt about the car and he said "That feels like a really well sorted Sports Car". Made my day!

Enjoy!!

With the summer we've had you were very lucky.

Is there no sound Ian? Or is it just me? Your engine makes my toes curl, so its a shame if there is no sound.

Looks like you had a great day. Have you got any photos from le mans?

The no sound is deliberate for two reasons. 1st, we had to get under 100db for Goodwood, so I had some trackday pipes made with the four-into-one under the wing and a 6 inch diameter silencer the entire length of the space available - it looked horrible and sounded pathetic!

2nd, the soundtrack is nearly all wind noise and not very nice!!

We had a wonderful trip to Le Mans and I will be posting a video of my lap shortly along with the story. Am I the first FFR to lap Le Mans?

Back soon.
