Anyone have a problem with their Mk3.1 steering hub getting "loose"?
Mine developed about 20 degrees of play. After I checked for missing spring washers (which were there), I took the wheel center out and found the hub is wearing and letting the wheel move around.
Any ideas on an improved system?
This happen to anyone else or am I just that lucky?
Thanks

I was real careful when I put it on so unfortunately, I don't think that's it. It was tight for 1100 miles and then started loosening up. Guess I'll call FFR monday and buy a new one. Thanks

Never heard of that happening before?
Very odd..although it is just aluminum, and not sleeved with a steel center, so I suppose it may wear eventually, but in just 1100 miles??
Maybe you could sacrifice a couple of pieces of feeler gauge, and fill the gap with them? Being steel they may last longer as well.

I don't get it either. I like the feeler gauge idea, act like a piece of shim stock. Got to fix it one way or another.
